Egan, G., Provenanced Leaden Cloth Seals, 1987, p.135, "The Canterbury-Walloon weavers were eventually separately incorporated in 1676, after a period of protracted Internal disputes. The document of incorporation refers to 'a leaden plate to be inscribed "Wall: Wea: Cant':" as a badge', to be fixed 'unto every piece or webb' manufactured by any member of the Fellowship (Cross 1898,250). None of these seals has been identified."
This is the only example known of this seal, a rare confirmation of the literature.
