Cloth Seal, Anne, Alnage, Crown with Crossed Sceptres

Cloth Seal, Anne, Alnage Crown & Crossed Sceptres, Image & Found by Derfel.
Found on Thames Foreshore, 14mm (31mm long).

(3)6 // head of Anne // crown with crossed sceptres, (2?) 1/2 to sides // crowned ligature of Anne (first R retrograde)

A complete four disc alnage seal of Anne. The number on the rivet disc could be 98 or 86 but 36 is a more likely length of cloth for the time. The royal monogram on the rove disc side shows one of several variations of ligatures used for Anne, this one with the R's formed from the sloping sides of the A (the first R is retrograde) to give a ligature based on Anne Regina.
