An inner and rove disc from a four disc alnage seal. If the initials in the ligature represented Karlos for Charles I it would normally have been crowned, also the letter C (CR) is known to be used on cloth seals for Charles I (and II). It is, therefore, more likely to be the initials of the farmer of the alnage.
