TE stamped on one side with (t?)5 1/2 scratched the other way up below the initials. The other side has a shield bearing arms barry of twelve?
The arms for Salisbury are a barry of eight (or and azure) first registered in 1565. See No.37, Fig.21 & p.55, Egan, Geoff, Cloth Seals, p.43-86 in Salisbury & South Wiltshire Museum Medieval Catalogue, Part 3, ed. Peter Saunders, 2001. However there are at least a dozen families listed in An alphabetical dictionary of coats of arms belonging to families in Great Britain and Ireland; forming an extensive ordinary of British armorials; upon an entirely new plan .. (1858), Papworth & Whitehead, whose arms consist of a barry of twelve of varying tinctures.
