Foliate decoration to sides of privy mark consisting of the figure 4 with elongated leg leading down to joined XX with numbers beneath, 11 above 110 is clear but there are more, indecipherable numbers or letters to the left of these. The other side shows a circular border with No above and Y? below all from a die and added to these are scratched figures, 41? above and 307? below. Further letters, TF? have been scratched at the top outside the border.

Tentative dating of late eighteenth century to early nineteenth is based on style - see No.220, Fig.31, Geoff Egan, 'Lead cloth seals and related items in the B.M. (B.M. Occasional Paper 93)' - "Clothiers', weavers' & searchers' seals with privy marks etc." This seal appears to be even more modern in design than any shown in Egan.
