From Philippe Lanez, "German salt seal of the STADER society, in the city of Stade.
Revese side reads WADER SALT for water sea salt producted by evaporating.
Front side might be STADER SALIN or SALINEN, for saline(s) of Stade. Below SCAMP?"
Harburg, "Stade. A popular souvenir from Stade and also a guest gift in the town hall was previously a small bag of Stader salt. The city of Stade and the salt works have been together for 130 years. 'White Gold' has also made Stade one of the most prosperous cities. But Stader Salz has been a thing of the past since Monday evening. It was the first major company in the old Hanseatic city to close its doors at the end of June." (2003)
