HANN(OVE)R, PHOSPHATFABRI(K HOYER)MANNS // LEEDS / PHOSPHATE / WORKS
This is a British seal from Leeds but the owning company is German. See BSG.BS.01369 for a related seal
From the finder, "On one side of the seal it can be identified as coming from the Leeds Phosfate Works which ties in nicely with the find location of Ingleton.
On the reverse side although some critical letters are absent curved around the inside edge of the circular border that surrounds this is the following, PHOSPHAFABRIK (HOYER)? MANN."
Wikipedia, "Gerhard Hoyermann developed from phosphorus slag a blast furnace plant fertiliser ‘basic slag’ for agriculture. In 1881 he founded the Peine phosphate factory, which was followed by other factories in Germany, Bohemia and England."
