Weichsel Steam Flour Factory seal.
Seal of the Weichsel Steam Flour Factory. See p.14, Meelloodjes, een ‘verborgen’ geschiedenis, B. D. Poppen, "De Weichsel steam flour factory in Amsterdam. In 1857, the De Weichsel steam flour factory was established in an old factory building, the city foundry, where bells and cannons were formerly cast, located on the corner of Gietersstraat and Lijnbaansgracht in the Jordaan. The supply of raw materials went by barge via the Lijnbaansgracht. The factory burned down in 1872, but the storage places were spared. In 1886, the factory was enlarged with a silo and machine building. In 1902 the factory was renovated and flour was no longer supplied, but electricity was supplied."
