The seals were dug from 2 sites Pearl & Water Street and John & Water Street, Manhattan, USA.

Dutch cloth seals from Amsterdam and Rotterdam can be identified. The find location is not on the southern tip of Manhattan Island where New Amsterdam was sited but just across the water in what is now called Brooklyn.
