SCOMAD curving downward // 2, MADAGASCAR voided saltire around
This aluminium seal is from the packaging department of the Ministry of State for Agriculture rural development and supplies, Madagascar. SCOMAD is the abbreviation used for Service de Conditionnement de Madagascar. This seal was probably attached to some agricultural product imported into America in the mid to late 20th century - Madagascar (BNM).

The area under tobacco cultivation was very important, and SLAMI was linked commercially to the SEITA National Industrial Tobacco and Matches Company, also present on the island."
