A flour bag seal from Hæggernes Dampmølle in Bergen.
SeeThe rolling mill of the hedge, "The hedge mill is located at the far end of Hegreneset in Sandviken . The company was started as Hæggernes steam mill AS by Aug. D. Mohr & Søn together with Danish stakeholders on May 1, 1869. [1] From 1918 onwards, electrical operation and the name was changed to the Hæggernes roller mill. From 1987 the company was merged with Vaksdal mill A / S, and operated as a separate department, until the company was closed down in 1992.
The ruining grain silo, which is still a landmark in Bergen, was erected in the period 1943-52. Architect was Per Grieg . We see a clear Grieg signature in the glass staircase on the silo, which is also recognizable in Per Grieg's design of Sundt warehouse . [2] The silo had a capacity of 20,000 tonnes and was established as a separate company, AS Bergen Havnesilo. In the silo, wheat flour, rye flour, collected flour and cereal flour were painted. At the plant, barley grains were also received, which were to proceed to the beer production at Hansa Brewery.
Hæggernæs roller mill was closed down in 1992, through a political decision that dealt with the total Norwegian mill capacity."
