Found near Edinburgh Airport.

One side has writing around the outer border and across the middle - (HA)YMARKET curving downwards, EDINBURGH curving upwards and MILLS straight across the middle. The other side has initials across its centre - (J H) & S the bottom of the J is missing and the H is far from certain but it does fit in with the research information.

The following information was found on Scotland's National Collection of Buildings, Archaeology and Industry:-
"Site plan showing Haymarket Flour Mills. Insc: 'This is the Plan referred to in the foregoing Feu Disposition by the North British Railway Company incorporated by Act of Parliament in favour of John Herdman and James Herdman Flour Merchants in Edinburgh as Trustees for their firm of John Herdman and Sons corn Merchants and Flour Millars, Haymarket Mills Edinburgh and is subscribed of even date therewith [...] on 14th June 1878' 'ENGINEER'S OFFICE'. Signed: 'John Young Director' 'Alexr H[..]wie Director' 'G B William Esq'. Dated: 'Edinburgh 4th May 1878'."

We know that the company was taken over by Joseph Rank Ltd. in 1920.
