Cloth Seal, Tubular Seal, Fleur-de-lis, Lines & Pellets

Cloth Seal, Tubular Seal, Fleur-de-lis, Lines & Pellets, Image & Found by Redgy Dewulf.
Found in maritime Flanders, 25x17mm.

Line & pellet pattern // Fleur-de-lis

Tubular or 'pipe' cloth seal with two vertical lines, on touching and one bisecting a horizontal line, two pellets at the end.

Markings probably indicate the number of threads (dropped? repaired?) during weaving - see Appendix 6, p.386 - 397, Elton, S., Cloth Seals, An Illustrated Reference Guide to the Identification of Lead Seals Attached to Cloth: from the British Perspective, for the probable use of many of these types of seals.
