This unusual spelling of thorpe in Castlethorpe has been found in the will of Richard Rushe, 1626 by Tesaro.

From Geoff Egan - Lead Cloth Seals and Related Items in the British Museum, "Buckinghamshire's textile production never reached more than a modest scale. The only evidence that its cloths were for anything beyond local consumption [as this one appears to indicate] is a handful of its seals around the same date as the present one [c 1611], all found in London."
