Tubular, one-piece seal bearing a privy mark based on the figure 4 with the initials S D H incorporated into it.

Tubular one-piece cloth seals are not as common as the the two and four disc, rivet type and had to be attached to the cloth via a cord. The privy mark does not pin it down to any particular region of the Continent as similar designs were used almost everywhere in the British Isles and Western Europe.
