One disc possibly from a four disc cloth seal showing lion rampant within a double tressure flory counter-flory, crowned, all within a line and corded border. (Arms of Scotland)
See No.195, Fig.28, Egan, G., 1994, Lead Cloth Seals and Related Items in the British Museum, B.M.occ.papers 93, 1995, "Probably not a specifically Scottish seal". The seal quoted by Egan has an alnage/subsidy figure of 3 1/2 shown on it which he suggest may date it to 1691/2 as that was the alnage rate for short bays in that year.
