T.C. / SCHOLEY / E.G., inscription around in annulus - EASTOFT GRANGE GOOLE YORKSHIRE.ENGLAND. // wheat sheaf above oval belt containing initials TCS, inscription around in annulus - SCHOLEY'S SELECTED SQUARE HEADED WHEAT.

There was a variety of 19th century wheat known as Scholey's Square Headed Wheat.

“Scholey, Thomas Cornelius, farmer & seed grower; selector & propagator of Scholey's square-headed wheat, barley & oats & potatoes, Eastoft Grange (Yorkshire) [Kelly’s Directory of Lincolnshire 1889, 1896 & 1905]. The 1905 addition adds, “(letters addressed, Crowle, Doncaster)”.
