Seed Merchants, Carters Bag Seal, London

Carters Seal, Image & Found by IronRon.
Found in Lincolnshire, 25mm.

Dotted circle on both sides, Carters straight across the middle in joined script on one side and LONDON around the top of the inside of the circle on other side with a seven petalled flower head in the space left between the N and L of LONDON. See other Carters seals, some with five petalled flower heads.

The script style of Carters looks very much like that registered as the trademark for Carters Tested Seeds (The Best & Cheapest) 1879.
