With the help of other seals the inscription reads:-
JAMES GIBBS & COMPY. (Y is superscript above the .) curved around the border and terminating in a five petalled flower head, LONDON straight across the middle // curved downward around the top AMMONIA.FIXED and curved upward at the bottom .PATENT. , PERUVIAN (curved downward) GUANO in the middle.

Held by The National Archives, Kew Registration 24/12/1886 “To purchase … the business lately carried on by James Ford and Alexander Ellis Ford, in partnership together at 16, Mark Lane, London, Victoria Docks, London, and elsewhere, under the name and style of James Gibbs and Company, as manufacturers of and dealers in Sulphuric Acid and chemical Fertilizers, importers of Peruvian Guano and Nitrate of Soda, Seed Crushers, and Feeding Cake Manufacturers and otherwise, and all or any property and assets of such business.”
