From Wikipedia"Duderstadt is a city in southern Lower Saxony, Germany, located in the district of Göttingen."
Translation by Grupp Mannerup from a Danish Museum report of excavation finds:- "The large seal from Göttingen appears in slightly different designs during the 16th and 17th centuries. This one was found in the Frederiksholm Canal, Copenhagen. The inscription: NOVI PANNI GOTTINGE (i.e. New cloth from Göttingen), shows that this was one of the locations where new qualities/types of cloth were introduced."
