Bird facing left, AW above back // shield bearing the arms of the London Dyers' Company (Chevron with three madderbags), (SIG) SOC T(INCTOR LONDON) around.
A complete two-disc London Dyers' Company seal . The rivet disc is stamped with a swan with AW above its back. The rove disc is stamped with the arms of Dyer's Company with its most common inscription around.
The swan is most probably a reference to Old Swan Lane on the central London waterfront area where the guild set up its work places.
