A complete four part cloth seal; on the two inner discs 1637 beneath two lions passant with a pellet border and 1637 beneath a ship of three masts in full sail with a rope border. The last digit of the date appears to be 9 rather than 7 but similar seals show it as 7.

The lions are in the style of other West Country alnage seals.
