Very faint lettering on front side in five lines one under the other only the following can be made out with any certainty - HE // (D?)S // ATE // WORKS // LTD. interpreted as THE LEEDS PHOSPHATE WORKS LTD. On the other side in two lines is -SIC // SLAG interpreted as BASIC SLAG.
