Cloth Seal, Dutch, RAM/FOVT, 1630

Cloth Seal, 1630, Image & Found by Hedgehunter.
Found in Nottinghamshire.
The outer border has .1630. curved around it although the last two numbers are not certain. There are further letters and symbols either side of this date but none are clear enough to interpret. Across the centre is a star(possibly) with RA(M?) below that and beneath that (F?)OVT with three pellets at under that.

Information from UKDFD Ref. No. - 26335 :-
"A two-disc cloth seal dated 1630. The rove disc (including the rivet end) is stamped with the central inscription, RAM/FOVT, and a surrounding inscription, which includes the date 1630 and a key motif, but is otherwise damaged and illegible. The rivet disc is plain. The connecting strip is intact.
The seal is possibly of Dutch origin and used to indicate faulty ('fout') cloth. In England, special seals for faulty cloth are first mentioned in a statute of Edward IV."
