Berlin Steam Mills Joint Stock Company, Eagle Seal, Image by StuE, Found by Irish Mikek.
Found in Memmingen Bavaria South Germany 22mm, 8.6g.
Both sides have a continuous raised line forming a circular border. Inside on one side is an eagle with R to its right and O/I to its left. On the other side it contains BER(LI?)N straight across the middle and curving down around the inside of the top of the border:- BERL.DA(MP?)FMUHLEN and curved upwards around the inside of the bottom of the border:- .ACT.GESELL?CH:
From David Cannon, "The inscription: ‘BERL.DAMPFMÜHLEN ACT.GESELLSCH. BERLIN’ can be expanded to ‘Berliner Dampfmühlen Actiengesellschaft Berlin’ ie Berlin Steam Mills Joint Stock Company. For an image of the mills in 1910 see Berliner Dampfmühlen-Aktiengesellschaft. I can’t locate exactly when the company was formed but from other sources I can see it was in existence by the 1890s at least."
