Two sections of a four part alnage seal, the lozenge section showing a ligature PW with (F?) and a cross to its right.
This ligature is well known to belong to an alnager who worked in Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon in the 1660's & 1670's, see p.275, Provenanced Leaden Cloth Seals by Geoffrey Egan, Sub-Department of Medieval Archaeology, University College, University of London. submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, 1987.
