Cloth Seal, Leeds, Fleece, Image & Found by Cobs. Found in Cumbria, 27mm. A two disc cloth seal showing a shield with engrailed top bearing a suspended fleece. The other side is blank but has been scratched with a number, possibly 3594. The suspended sheep or ram represents a wool fleece which is part of the coat of arms of Leeds City. It is probably the seal of a Leeds cloth worker perhaps from the eighteenth century from the style of the lettering.
