Caro Guano is sent out in bags with leaden seals bearing Mockford & Co. on one side and Caro Guano on the other side; while these seals remain unbroken, Mockford & Co. guarantee the quality, subject to the analysis of the Chemist for the time being to the Royal Agricultural Society of Great Britain …………” [Farmer’s Gazette and Journal of Practical Horticulture, 22 January 1870]
“……….. We guarantee the analysis of our CARO GUANO which may be ordered through any respectable Manure dealer, and is supplied in sealed bags of 2 cwt. Each bearing our brand. Mockford & Co., Billitier-Street, London.” [Derry Journal, 6 May 1872]".
