Found near the town of Zwijndrecht in soil moved from the outskirts of Amsterdam, 45mm.

S 15 88 to sides / HALS*TED / BAY (crowned H) // missing but rivet stub has partial winged beast
* the S is written as a 'long S' which looked like an f

A bay seal from Halstead. The beast is almost certainly a griffin, an emblem much favoured by the Colchester Dutch immigrant weavers.
