Cloth Seal, Dutch, Helmond

Cloth Seal, Dutch, Helmond, Image & Found by Swedish National Heritage Board (supplied by Martin Rundkvist*).
Found in the floor layer of Stegeborg Castle's oldest tower, Söderköping, Östergötland, Sweden, ?mm.

Missing (clear weave impression on reverse of rove disc) // shield bearing close helmet, foliate design around

The helmet appears to be of the 16th century close helm variety.

Steen Agersø has identified it as almost certainly being cloth seal from Helmond in Noord-Brabant (current day Netherlands).

See also Historiska for a parallel.
