Croatia, Zagreb, Flourbag Seal

Croatia, Zagreb, Flourbag Seal, Image & Found by Metaldetecting Face.
Found in Edinburgh, 18mm.

Annulus containing PAR... curved downwards ZAGR(E?)... curving upwards // 0

The Croatian designation is based on the partial word being Zagreb.

0 usually stands for a grade of flour.

From Paul Cannon, "I wonder if the reading on this seal can be reconstructed as ‘ZAGRE(B) PARO(MLIN)’. Zagreb’s Paromlin was an industrial complex, first constructed between 1862 and 1906. This included a “steam and artificial mill” built in 1863 but destroyed by a major fire in May 1906, along with much of the Paromlin complex. The mill was rebuilt between 1906-1908. Paromlin (Croatian) translates as ‘flour mill’. For a history of the complex (in translation) see Zagreb Paromlin."
