German flour bag seal. Hübener Marke - Higher Brand, Rathenower Dampfmühlen - Rathenower Steam mill.

From Deutsche Wertpapierauktionen GmbH "In 1848 the businessman Carl Friedrich Hübener built two steam mills on a site in front of the Haveltor, which made the milling operation independent of the changing water flow of the Havel. In a practical way, he could get the stones for the mill construction straight away from the Lötze brickworks, which also belonged to him. 1913 converted into an AG. In the 1920s the company had to be restructured three times, the meanwhile majority stake of MIAG Mühlenbau und Industrie AG from Braunschweig was probably not entirely voluntary. In 1937 transferred to the main shareholder, the businessman Erich Karow in Königsberg i.Pr., excluding liquidation, 80% of the minority shareholders were compensated. Although the mill with approx. 50 employees was quite small, it survived the entire GDR period; Until the fall of the Berlin Wall, oatmeal was made here. Today the area is included in the grounds of the State Garden Show."
