From Paul Cannon, "I am fairly sure that this cloth seal relates to Wesel in Germany. The inscription appears to read FINN.BOMASIN[....] DER.WESEL Wesel was famous for its bombazine/bombasine cloth. Many of its seals are gilded like this example."
