Cloth Seal, James I, Alnage

Cloth Seal, Alnage, Fleur-de-lis, Image & Found by Derfel.
Found on Thames foreshore, 16 x 14mm.

One disc and a small segment of another from a four part alnage seal showing a crowned fleur-de-lis with I R to sides, all in a line and corded circular border.

An alnage seal of James as indicated by the initials and thought to be of a pre-restoration type therefore James I rather than James II.
