Tab-like cloth seal consisting of a strip of lead with William / SYKES / 16 12 (a rose? between the 16 12) on one side of the bend (no thinning of connecting strip) and the numeral 2 on the other (possibly more but nothing legible).

Could be searcher or packers seal. Unusual shape. See Cloth Seal, Searcher / Inspector, Image & Found by Strebor for similarly shaped seal but from a later date (the 1612 number is not thought to be a date).
