The following was found by Philippe Lanez - COGNAC GRANDE CHAMPAGNE, SPECIAL RESERVE 1865, "H.B. Fearon slip label above main label, main label soiled and damaged and states 'New Almacks Club', cork shrunken on one side and stamped 'Vieux Cognac', wax capsule cracked and slightly damaged on top, 2-part moulded bottle".
The National Archives records the "Importation of liquor into West Africa: H B Fearon and Son" in 1936.
It would appear that at some point the company traded as "HB Fearon Block & Co. LTD." and used ''The Speaker'' as a trademark on at least one product, see Antique London, HB Fearon Glass Syphon Bottle.
