Found in Wetherby / Knaresbough area, 26.8 x 24.8mm, 21.9g.
An Archangel flax or hemp bale seal - 1870.
First side:-
First line - illegible but likely to be a variant of АРХАНГ.ПОР = ARkhANG:POR = Archangel Port
Second line - КВОНЪ = KRON = High-quality flax; Crown = contents of the bale
Third line - 2 COPTЪ = 2 SORTB = 2nd Grade
Fourth line - Е:П = E:P = initials of the owner or producer
Fifth line - 1884 = year when grading took place.
Second side :- illegible.
