From Philippe (part 2!), "The spelling of the surname is definitively set to CROZEL
The census of the municipality of Montluel in 1911 shows us the presence of a CROZEL Emile, minotier of his state. A miller, Reyshernel Pierre (uncertain reading), works with him. Emile was born in 1873 in Geyssans, Drôme, by CROZEL Jules and MOTTIN Victorine. His grandfather CROZEL Pierre was present at the 1872 census of this commune of Geyssans, where he was established as a miller. In 1921, Emile Crozel married Marie Sermet (La Boisse 1876.01.22 – Montluel 1943.10.20). A daughter was born in Montluel in 1914. Emile Grozel died on 1924.01.24.
It cannot be established whether Mary continued the activity with her husband’s employees. The 1926 census described her as having no occupation. In 1931 the miller MALISSART Jean-Louis, born in 1873 in Montluel married to TARIN Péronne born in Bourgneuf in 1884. In 1936 Jean-Louis Malissart was assisted by his son Léon, born in Lyon, Monchat district, in 1908."
