Undecipherable design in the centre*, J.H.BACHMANN curving downwards and HAMBURG curving upwards around // same on both sides *probably could be determined from the original or a larger picture.

Probably a seal from the German trading house and transport and logistics company JH Bachmann GmbH, 1775 to 2006, even though they were based in Bremen rather than Hamburg.
