From David Cannon, "The inscription: ‘BERL.DAMPFMÜHLEN ACT.GESELLSCH. BERLIN’ can be expanded to ‘Berliner Dampfmühlen Actiengesellschaft Berlin’ ie Berlin Steam Mills Joint Stock Company. For an image of the mills in 1910 see Berliner Dampfmühlen-Aktiengesellschaft. I can’t locate exactly when the company was formed but from other sources I can see it was in existence by the 1890s at least."
