BSG.CS.00606 — Cloth Seal, Cloth Worker's Personal Seal, Privy Mark, SS

Found in Denmark, 18.3mm by 3.7mm thick, 4.44g.

Privy mark based on the figure 4 with an elaborate but unclear design on the extended down leg which has SS either side of it. The other side has 47 scratched into it.

A complete two-disc cloth worker's personal seal. These seals were used from the fifteenth to early nineteenth century and it is difficult to assign them to a more specific date with any certainty.
