BSG.CS.01418 — Cloth Seal, Unknown, Lombardic Script?

Found near Clitheroe, Lancashire, 18mm.

Shield bearing undeciphered design, inscription around (Lombardic?) // missing but faint trace of stamp on rivet stub, cloth weave impression on reverse of rivet disc

If the inscription is Lombardic this would suggest 16th century.
